Director of Molecular Genetics Qualifications: PhD or other doctoral degree in molecular biology or related fields, with at least five year experience in molecular genetics. Responsibilities: The director of molecular genetics is responsible for the full operation of the laboratory facility at the SMGC, including the diagnostic and core laboratories. The director will be responsible for the maintenance of procedures and protocols of the laboratory. The head will be responsible for maintaining adequate training of the staff and for their periodic evaluation. The head will be responsible for all educational activities related to the department of molecular genetics. Head of the diagnostic laboratory Qualifications: Ph.D or other doctoral degree in molecular biology or related fields. Experience in molecular genetics diagnostics is preferred. Responsiblities: The head of the diagnostic laboratory is responsible for the full operation of the diagnostic testing, validation of the performed tests, maintenance of procedures and protocols and review of the generated result reports. Genetic Counselor
Qualifications: BSc or BA with formal training in genetic counseling. Bilingual (Arabic and English) applicants are preferred. The counselor provides genetic counseling to families with children with genetic disorders and provides awareness regarding the inheritance of genetic disorders.
